Hazelnut Brownies (Gluten Free, Vegan)
Okay, by now I think it’s pretty obvious that I have a sweet tooth. I love creating recipes of classics that are more nutritious and I can’t believe it’s taken me this long to whip up some brownies! These brownies are easy to make, perfectly gooey, chocolatey, and nutty!
Hazelnut Brownies:
Dry Ingredients:
1 1/2 C. oat flour
1/2 C. coconut flour
1 tsp cinnamon
1/3 C. unsweetened cocoa powder
1 tsp baking soda
6 dates
1/4 C. hazelnuts (Chopped)
1/4 c. chocolate chips
(Optional toppings: additional hazelnuts, chocolate chips, and almond slices)
Wet Ingredients:
1/2 C. unsweetened applesauce
1/3 C. Ground Up Oregon Hazelnut Almond & Hazelnut Butter
1/2 C. pumpkin puree
2 tsp maple syrup
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. 
- Mix all dry ingredients into a mixing bowl. 
- Combine pumpkin puree and dates in a food processor until combined 
- Mix all wet ingredients into a mixing bowl. 
- Combine wet and dry ingredients 
- Top with chocolate chips, additional hazelnuts and almonds 
- Pop into the oven and bake at 350 for minutes 
- Allow to cool & enjoy!
